The Influence of Question Form in The Formatif Evaluation and Cognitive Style To The Students' Mathematics Learning Outcomes.
And Experiment in the tenth grade Annida Al Islamy Bekasi Islamic Senior High School
The Objectives of this research are to get some information about the influence of (1) question form, (2) the student' cognitive style, (3) and the students' mathematics learning outcomes in the formative evaluation.
The hypotheses tested (1)the mathematics-learning outcome of the student who are given the easy question in the formative evaluation will be better than who are given the multiple choice question, (2) the mathematics-learning outcome of the students' who own the field independent cognitive style will be better than who own the field dependent cognitive style, (3) there are influence of interaction between the test form and students' cognitive style to the mathematics-learning out comes, (a) there is difference of the mathematics-learning out come,of the students' who own the field independent cognitive style given the easy question are better than those who are given the multiple choice question, (b) there is difference of the mathematics learning out comes, of the students' who own the field dependent cognitive style given the easy question are lower than those are given the multiple choice question.
The methode use in the research is the experiment. The population in this research are all of the students of the ten grade of Annida Al Islamy Bekasi Islamic Senior High School (150 students) and 110 students were taken as sample
In the instrument use collect the data of the variabel of the students' cognitive style was Likert scale mode quistioner. the validity was calculated by Alpha-Cronbach formula.The finding of research of that variabel was rii = .922 and the variabel of the mathematics-learning outcomes was a test or question in the multiple choice and easy form.
The validity of the multiple choice were calculated by KR-20 formula and the result of test is rii = .69 . While validity of the eassy question were the caculated by Alpha-Cronbach formula and the result of the test is rii = .749 .The data was analyzed by using descriptive and inferensial statistic, and it was use the variant analysis to examine/analyzed the hypothesis, then it was continued by using Tukey test to examine/analyses the different of the better group.
The finding of the research showed that, (1) the average the students who were given the easy question = 23.417 higher than who were given the multiple choice question = 19.889, (2) the students who owned the field independents cognitive style had average of = 23.722 higher than who owned the field dependents cognitive style = 19.583, (3) there was influence of interaction between giving question form and the students' cognitive style to the mathematics-learning outcomes proved by the analysis result that data F counted = 4.239 higher than F table = 3.98, (a) there no difference between the students who owned the field independent cognitive style given the essay question and the multiple choice question.It was Tukey test, Q counted = .2965 lower than Q table = 3.61, (b) the average learning outcomes of the students' the owned the field dependent cognitive style given the essay question = 22.889 higher than who owned the cognitive style given the multiple choice question = 16.278.
The research finding are expeted to be useful for the quality of education considering the summary of the research that question form (X1) and the students' cognitive style (X2) did affect to the students' mathematics-learning outcomes(Y)
